Frank Sinatra And Nelson Riddle: How It Happened

When considering the greatness of Frank Sinatra–both as an individual and in the music he created–it is important to place his achievements within the context of the man’s life. It is easy to forget that there was a time when he wasn’t ‘The Chairman of the Board’ and when he wasn’t regarded as the greatest male popular vocalist in history. There was a time when he was just another washed up teen idol trying to figure out a way to jump start his career and continue collecting a paycheck for being a singer. And then there were his personal problems–the love of his life, Ava Gardner had left him, his vocal chords were shredded from overuse, and he was on the skids financially as well as no longer in demand professionally. Frank recalled this time in his life by saying “It was all Mondays.”

The Chairman Of The Board Meets Brazil’s Bossa Nova Pioneer

One of the frequently heard criticisms of Frank Sinatras work is that he was essentially a one trick pony. He is often accused of not being a technically adept vocalist, and simply reworking a formula over and over again. While Sinatra certainly knew what worked for him, and what kind of songs and arrangements he liked this assertion is patently unfair and displays a profound ignorance of the entire body of his work. If you dig deeper in the Sinatra oeuvre, youll find some amazing examples of vocal prowess. Perhaps his best work in this regard came from his collaboration with legendary Brazilian guitarist Antonio Carlos Jobim.

Are Mp3 Files Compatible With The IPod?

MP3 files are easily the most popular form of audio storage found on the internet. The fact that the music is compressed to a small size for easy storage without losing any of the sound quality makes these files very desirable. The MP3 files are compatible with most operating systems available today as well as with many other devices used for listening to music. The MP3 files are easily transferred to other devices such as your cell phone, a CD, or even your IPod.

Guitar Instructional DVD: Begin Your Career Today

Like you probably have done, I have read a ton of interviews with great players and articles written by many of these same players. I often found it frustrating whenever the subject of learning to play guitar came up or when advice was offered on improving one’s playing. With a small number of exceptions, very little time and space was offered on this.
