Frank Sinatra And Nelson Riddle: How It Happened

When considering the greatness of Frank Sinatra–both as an individual and in the music he created–it is important to place his achievements within the context of the man’s life. It is easy to forget that there was a time when he wasn’t ‘The Chairman of the Board’ and when he wasn’t regarded as the greatest male popular vocalist in history. There was a time when he was just another washed up teen idol trying to figure out a way to jump start his career and continue collecting a paycheck for being a singer. And then there were his personal problems–the love of his life, Ava Gardner had left him, his vocal chords were shredded from overuse, and he was on the skids financially as well as no longer in demand professionally. Frank recalled this time in his life by saying “It was all Mondays.”

The Chairman Of The Board Meets Brazil’s Bossa Nova Pioneer

One of the frequently heard criticisms of Frank Sinatras work is that he was essentially a one trick pony. He is often accused of not being a technically adept vocalist, and simply reworking a formula over and over again. While Sinatra certainly knew what worked for him, and what kind of songs and arrangements he liked this assertion is patently unfair and displays a profound ignorance of the entire body of his work. If you dig deeper in the Sinatra oeuvre, youll find some amazing examples of vocal prowess. Perhaps his best work in this regard came from his collaboration with legendary Brazilian guitarist Antonio Carlos Jobim.

MP3 files are easily the most popular form of audio storage found on the internet. The fact that the music is compressed to a small size for easy storage without losing any of the sound quality makes these files very desirable. The MP3 files are easily transferred to other devices such as your cell phone, a CD, or even your IPod.

The Black Eyed Peas Are No Where Near “The E.N.D.” Of Their Career

The Black Eyed Peas just released their latest, fifth album to mixed reviews, perhaps because some fans have now gotten away from the music of the BEP’s and perhaps because they have gotten to listen to Fergie on her own, a few people were disappointed in this album, however it must be said that this seems to be some of their best collaborative work to date.

Free Music For All

Music is a form of art which has seen so many upheavals for last 100 years in the field of capturing, storing and retrieving it which any other forms would have hardly undergone. It all started when Edison came up with gramophone which gave the possibility of recording the music and playing it at will. After this invention, the connoisseurs of musical art increased as the artists? physical presence was not required to replay the music. On top of that music could be rendered at the whims and fancies of the listener whether its middle of the day of night. This followed through quite uniformly with the advent of magnetic tapes, walkman, and audio disks. User was having access to music by any artist by paying certain price for the recorded media to the music company. Part of revenue was provided to the artist as royalty and everything was hunky dory. Governments had good control over the distribution as the recorded media was physically detectable and it was possible to prevent any smuggling across Nation?s borders.
