What is a standard payment for playing a live music gig?

We are a new 20-yr-old rock band on Long Island looking to play gigs at live music venues and bars. Some of the venues we are looking to play at are asking what we expect for payment. What is a fairly standard rate for a full gig???

I am managing this band, but am completely new to this type of management. They are a very talented band and definitely capable of bringing in a crowd of loyal followers (at least 50 ppl should be no problem at all). A ton of live experience at private parties or get togethers, but little experience at bars or clubs…hence getting out to those small venues starting now. Not in union. Probably a 12 song set (6 original, 6 covers) around 45 mins to 1 hour.

I work for a catering company who did food for a weeding reception and the band got paid 1,000 dollars just for showing up. This was for a party of 240 ppl. Gook luck in ur band
