newyork live music venues?

where can i find a thirty somethings venue for live music and dancing
in new york

we like rock, salsa, country, reggae, jazz, blues

NYC has arguably the most vibrant live music scene in the world. There are thousands of venues, from dive bars to concert halls, church basements to open-air theaters. Coffee houses, ball rooms, you name it.

The challenge — especially when you name as many genres of music as you have here — won’t be to find a place to go; it will be how to pick just one.

A couple of resources:

http://www.villagevoice.com/music/

Just do a Google search for "nyc live music venues" or something and you’ll find hundreds of listings sites.

But really there is no website, newspaper, or any other resource that will list every live music event that’s happening in every NYC borough and neighborhood on any given night. Seriously. It can’t be done.
