Live music in Long Beach?

What are some good live music venues in Long Beach? I play in an indie rock band in LA and we’re trying to book some shows there, without having to pre-sell tickets (i.e. Chain Reaction). People have recommended Hogue Barmichael’s, Alex’s, Que Sera, the Prospector….. any others I should know about?

Hogue Barmichael’s is in Newport Beach. Alex’s, Que Sera and the Prospector are in Long Beach. Surf City Saloon is in Huntington Beach and is worth checking out.

Long Beach has a large number of restaurants in the early evening/live music venues later at night type of places.

If the place has a website, I listed it.
Fingerprints Music on 2nd St., Dipiazza Restaurant & Lounge, The Pike Bar & Fish Grill (owned by Social Distortion drummer), Puka Bar, open, Koos Art Center (530 E Broadway 562-491-7584), Gaslamp Restaurant & Bar (bands & BBQ outdoors on sunday afternoons),
