I remember seeing …
I remember seeing this band 2 or three times in Trenton , New Jersey in 1954 or 75 or so. They were great. The onstage antics…the guitarist with the clown face…however it was the quality of the performance that made it good. This was a good band at the time and this video reminds me of that.

I’ve said this before but … I saw Alex and his fabulous band supporting Slade at Earl’s Court in 1973 and… (although Slade were the flavour of the month and went on to fame and fortune and ultimately…Radio 2!!!) Alex (with all due respect to Noddy and his band) ed them right up the arse!! I would never have been happy following SAHB on stage!

Fabulous! Alex is my all time hero. I’ve never seen anyone hold an audience in his hand the way Alex does. He left us before the video age which would have made him a superstar.

Why, oh HOLY WHY aren’t the video tracks from this show included on the newly released ‘Ragnarock’ DVD+2CD package - three other songs performed from the same shows are however included on the ‘74 CD in the same package. It’s a big shame they couldn’t include this too…
