Many rock bands are still touring, have been for 30 - 40 years, bands such as Black Sabbath (Heaven and Hell), Twisted Sister, Alice Cooper, Motorhead, Whitesnake etc etc. Nazareth will be selebrating their 40th anniversary next year and tour constantly.

Metallica. Slayer. Marc Almond. Queens of The Stone Age. The Warlocks. The Rakes. Killing Joke. Super Furry Animals. Cocteau Twins. Megadeth. Fugazi. Rollins Band.Primal Scream. Death In Vegas. Iggy Pop. David Bowie. U2. Pj Harvey. The Who. The Verve. Ian Brown. The Very Things. The Fall. The Bolshoi. Roger Waters. Voice of the Beehive. Fields of the Nephilim. The Mission. Levitation. Loop. Slowdive. Ride. My Bloody Valentine. I could go on all night! Some of them will stand up, some will fall in 30 years time but the most obscure bands get reverence years later on. Depends what part of a scene they were...

Ive seen Nickleback and Bonjovi at the same concert…Bon jovi were brilliant, Yes maybe they will still be going strong..they have notched up 20 years now…and still sooooo cute…..

I’ve seen Massive Attack, Zappa Plays Zappa, Zakir Hussein and John McLaughlin, Jethro Tull, Goldfrapp, and I can’t remember any of the others. To be honest, I’d like to think that my children knew these artists, especially McLaughlin, Jethro Tull and Zappa. However, I wouldn’t know since I’m unlikely to have children. Also most of these artists are real musicians, and there seems to be too little real music being appreciated in the mainstream nowadays. I’d like to think things will change, but I doubt it.
I know a couple of people who saw The Beatles, but not Elvis… =oD

I’ve seen quite a few concerts:
Motley Crue, Velvet Revolver, Scorpions, Twisted Sister, Our Lady Peace, Lenny Kravitz, Aersomith, Danko Jones, going to see Bon Jovi, and some of the bigger names will deffinetly be remembered within the next 30 years, and if your kids/grandkids are really into music, they might actually be impressed that you went to the concert of an amazing rockstar who they can no longer see live.

I’ve seen a few…Primus, Incubus, RHCP. Most probablu won’t be remembered except by those who had an emotionally attachment i.e. a song that got them through a difficult time. Do you care what concerts your parents went to (with the exception of Woodstock). Don’t think I know anyone who saw Elvis.

It was such an amazing gig
