Why is it so hard to promote music of unsigned bands to the UK audience?

are people just not interested in new acts, don't like the americans or what's the problem? No one replies to posts on forums, what does a promoter have to do to get people from the UK to simply listen and give feedback?

if you're hot then you're hot… if not, then the people will not respond.
