Broken Television On Christmas? - Read On

It is an irritable experience, if the TV breaks down at festival times like Christmas and you will have to miss viewing on all the good programs. The problem can be tackled in a number of ways; some of them are given below:

1. Use the manufacturer’s manual for the set to see if you can handle such simple problem a tuning, clarity etc. if the disorder is within your capability to solve, you save on repair charges.

2. When you find that the problem cannot be tackled by you, a TV technician’s services are required and that may be costly, even for finding out what has gone wrong. You will have to decide whether to replace it with another or retain the same.

3. Just to get over the Christmas period, you may think of some ad hoc solutions. It may be getting back your old Television set into service or if it is not available, bringing out the set kept in your bedroom for all to watch.

4. In case, your TV set is new, there are no worries, as the dealer has to take care of the repairs without charging you as per the warranty contract.

5. You do not have to spend on repairs, if the TV is rented. The leasing company has to make good all manufacturing problems and attend all repairs, free of charge.

6. Aged TV sets, are not worth repairing, spending your money on it. You may replace it with the latest brand/ model in the market. The best time for purchasing that is January.

7. Instead of spending a lot of money for a new TV, you may go for rentals, and get the best model for viewing. That will take care of repair charges also, if the need arises. You get a TV set, you may not afford to purchase because of the price.

8. In that case, start the search for the TV right now.
