by Danny Mitchell

With a shop near every neighborhood, video stores have been the most convenient way to get movies for years. You can now save a trip to the video store and download movies right off the internet. Following is a list of a few movies that you can get using a movie download site.

Rich Girl: Incredibly gentle time filler in reference to “meager little rich gal” Schoelen leaving her life of comfort in her daddy’s Bel-Air mansion and trying to make it on her own, ultimately hooking up with a blue-collar rock singer. Cast includes Jill Schoelen, Don Michael Paul, Sean Kanan, Ron Karabatsos, and Paul Gleason. (96 minutes, 1991)

Bugles in the Afternoon: Simple story of guy branded a coward (MilIand) throughout the Civil War, with a Little Bighorn finale. Cast includes Ray Milland, Forrest Tucker, George Reeves, Helena Carter, and Gertrude Michael. (85 minutes, 1952)

Mickey Blue Eyes: Alarmingly unfunny story based on the renowned nearsighted animation personality refreshed in the energized credits, with Greg Burson filling in for Jim Backus as the voice of Magoo. Nielsen does his best unconditionally, although the pointlessly difficult plot about the theft of a dear cherry just goes on and on. There are a tremendous amount of mean spirited characters for a kid’s film. Cast includes Hugh Permit, James Caan, Jeanne Trippet, Leslie Nielsen, Jennifer Gamer, Malcolm McDowell, and Miguel Ferrer. (103 minutes, 1999)

Alaska: Adolescent venture on a grand scale, as a brother and sister take off looking for their dad and his downed plane. Structured like an old B movie melodrama, however implemented with conviction contrary to magnificent, snowy landscape and characterizing an irresistible polar bear who befriends the youngsters. Heston, whose child prompted the drama, plays a mean, cunning old man. Cast includes Thora Birch, Vincent Kartheiser, Dirk Benedict, Charlton Heston, Duncan Fraser, and Gordon Tootoosis. (110 minutes, 1996)

Hired-To-Kill: A Mercenary poses as a gay clothes maker to spring insurgent leader ‘Ferrer’ from a Latin American jail. His commando squad with six attractive ladies posing as models is impressive. Well generated, although awesomely stupid. Cast includes Nico Mastorakis, Peter Rader. Brian Thompson, Oliver Reed, George Kennedy, Jose Ferrer, Michelle Moffett, Barbara Lee Alexander, Jordana Capra, Kendall Conrad, Kim Lonsdale, Jude Mussetter, and Penelope Reed. (91 minutes, 1990)

Hannibal: It has been ten years since Hannibal had escaped. Mason Verger, Hannibal’s sixth victim, a survivor, has obsessive revenge on his mind. His plot includes using agent Starling for bait. He feels Hannibal will not be able to resist.

Spungen: Director Cox accomplishes a masterful level of a documentary-reality. He then laces it with metaphorical fantasy icons, with striking outcomes. At the center of the film are two incredible performances by Goldman and Webb, who don’t appear to be acting at all: They are Sid and Nancy. The movie is a downer, to be certain, however captivating. (105 minutes, 1969)

On Guard: A loyal swordsman saves a child princess from the evil grasp of her malevolent opponent. The toddler’s dad was also the swordsman’s mentor. A deliciously old-styled popcorn film that is full of action and set in the France of Louis XIV. Cast includes Daniel Auteuil, Fabrice Luchini, Vincent Perez, Marie Gillain, Yann Collette, Didier Pang, and Philippe Noiret. (128 minutes, 1997)

Ada: Dean Martin stars in this story of political corruption. With determination and commitment, a poor man finds his ways to riches in this politically based drama. Susan Hayward, Dean Martin, and Martin Balsam are the movies stars. (1961 drama Daniel Mann directs)
