Taken from the year of 1991 is this tune from the UK’s Mica Paris - Love You Tonight.
This tune was produced and mixed by Nellie Hooper who shot to fame alongside Jazzy B, as they were the founder member’s of one of the UK’s finest groups, Soul 2 Soul.
Mica Paris was born on 27 April 1969. She went to Lewisham Girls school in London and got her break into the music buisness age 17. Mica has been one of the most celebrated artists in the UK soul scene, ever since she burst out of our radio’s with her international hit “My One Temptation,” making fans (and later collaborators out of) giants in the music industry like Eric B & Rakim, Nile Rodgers and Prince, to name a few.
Her career as a vocalist began when she started singing in her church when she was seven years old. Paris changed her name from Michelle to Micha at age 16 and later dropped the ‘h’ in Micha, going by Mica ever since. The change in name coincided with Mica’s signing on as a member in the gospel group Spirit Of Watts and by the mid 1980’s arrived, she was doing background vocal work for secular groups such as Shakatak and Hollywood Beyond. She has also gone on to work with many UK and US artist’s, and these days can be seen on t.v. in the UK presenting programs, and also does alot of radio work including presenting Soul Solutions on BBC Radio 2 as well as radio documentaries such as Purple Reign: The Prince Story and a six-part series on Aretha Franklin.

This is awful …
This is awful sounding, its sounds all over the place and no melodies
I have loved Mica …
I have loved Mica from the first album with “My One Temptation”. Her problem is the US doesn’t know good quality sometimes. Example, Will Downing. For Mica, her career could have been great except that everybody (Al Jarreau [Feels So Good], Tamia [You Put a Move on My Heart]) covered what should have been her signature songs simultaneously while she was in the studio recording them. And because of their “pull,” released before her original. This was like a shot in the gut and the career.
Prince wrote this …
Prince wrote this right, … and is actually spelt If I Luv U 2Nite ala pre-text speak for Prince song titles…
