Hey, i’m trying to work out which is the best way to get into the music industry. Please leave comments with suggestions as to which, you believe, are the best methods to get into the music industry.
Chase the Cat..It’s … Chase the Cat..It’s really common sense but the thing with the music chain of command, The top producers, labels, etc arent going to come looking for you, they’ve already made it, you have to go to them. Dont think because you have the freshest material that all you have to do is sit back and wait for a phone call. You should be mailing your stuff 24/7 waiting for that return.
Artists see it as … Artists see it as getting famous, but record companies see it as making money. Record companies don’t want to lose money, so if they see that you already have a fanbase and are moving units, they will sink money behind you and throw you out there nationally, but you have to demonstrate that: 1) you have a buzz and a fanbase behind you, and 2) you have a product that sells and that people will purchase. It’s about moving units! This is a money business first and they get behind songs that sell!
